The converted shipping containers of String Bean Alley house independent traders selling Australian ceramics, screen-printed textiles and small-batch skincare. The adjacent food court does Bratwurst Shop sausages and borek from long-running family stalls.

Chapel Street's Prahran end mixes Australian labels with Greville Street's record shops and Greville Records, trading since 1979. Prahran Market next door runs Tue, Thu-Sun 7am-3pm for cheese, charcuterie and knife sharpening.
Between Kooyong Road and Glenferrie Road sit antique dealers, rug specialists and interior showrooms in converted Victorian shopfronts. Trading typically ends 5pm, so the last hour is window-shopping the lit displays before dinner nearby.
The Trust's retail space sells work by Victorian Aboriginal artists with provenance documented for each piece — possum-skin motifs, printed scarves, ceramics and books. Open daily 10am-5pm on the Yarra Building's ground floor.
