Punta Cana is the Dominican Republic's primary tourist destination and one of the world's most visited beach resort areas — a 50 km strip of white coral sand beaches on the eastern tip of Hispaniola island with some of the most consistently calm, warm (28°C) and clear turquoise Caribbean water in the Greater Antilles.
