A working wire-and-bead studio on Shortmarket Street where 30-odd artists bend galvanised wire into beaded animals, Zulu chandeliers and radio sculptures. Open weekdays 08:30–17:00. Watch pieces being made before buying.

Cape Town's own diamond and tanzanite house with a working cutting floor visible behind glass; certificates issued on site and duty-free export paperwork prepared while you wait. Open daily 09:00–21:00.

The free 30-minute jewellery-making tour runs hourly and ends in the workshop — book it and you skip the sales floor pressure entirely.

Independent bottle shop on Kildare Road stocking small Swartland and Hemel-en-Aarde producers you won't find in Woolworths — Sadie Family, Alheit, Crystallum. Open Mon–Sat until 18:30.

They pack export-approved six-bottle polystyrene cases and will handle the courier paperwork; bottles under R400 are the better value here.
