Day 1: Pampulha Architectural Complex (UNESCO 2016): the São Francisco de Assis Church (Niemeyer + Portinari 1943 — refused consecration for 16 years), the Mercado Central (420 stalls, the 800+ cachaça wall, the fresh pão de queijo), the Savassi petiscos bar scene (torresmo (pork crackling) + cold draft beer) and the comida mineira dinner (feijão tropeiro, frango com quiabo, tutu de feijão)
Day 2: Inhotim Instituto de Arte Contemporânea — the world's largest outdoor art museum: 140 hectares of botanical garden + 23 permanent gallery pavilions (Hélio Oiticica's "Éden", Chris Burden's "Beam Drop", Doug Aitken, Janet Cardiff, Matthew Barney). Day 3: Serra do Cipó National Park (the cerrado biome: 11,627 plant species (4,400 endemic), the most biodiverse tropical savanna in the world — the waterfalls (Cachoeira da Farofa, Véu da Noiva) and the 1.75-billion-year-old quartzite rock formations), the Conceição do Mato Dentro colonial village (queijo minas artesanal) and the farewell pão de queijo tasting menu
